Last watercolors update of 2021!

Dearest Birds and Other Flying Things! We're headed into the Holiday Season, and I want to share with you all that is brewing in store! This means a couple of things for  a Large Aviary . 1930s watercolors First things first: they're back! They will be coming to shop this  Saturday, 6. November, at 7 pm CET/1 pm EDT/12 pm CT  --as always, please check your time zone conversion in advance.  Here come the changes!  With this update, we will have to say goodbye to one of the favorite colours (but aren't they all equally favorite?), one called Mist. This is the last chance to get it, with a purchase of the full set!  Sadly, this is the fate of all the paints: I only have limited quantities of them all, after all, and some come in greater numbers than others. Dearest Birds and Other Flying Things!

Dearest Birds and Other Flying Things!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to this Large Aviary. Imagine it a vast and cozy place for those who like to flock together as well as those lone observers who prefer to watch from farther away. Everyone is welcome to stay as long as they like.

Among the things this Aviary has to offer, are the colorful stories that you can weave with the paints that we have here --the ones above this text. The paints are my special discovery, a cherished treasure that travels the world after almost a century of its production. They spent such a long time waiting for us patiently, hidden in the darkness. Now, brought back to the light, they offer themselves to those who appreciate a weird and unique find. Like you and me. It makes my heart happy whenever any of you decide to pick your favored color scheme and try it out to see what can emerge from it with your gentle or firm touch.

Then there are the books --oh, the journals, the sketchbooks --which I make with my own hands. I fill them with acres of blank surface on which to make and create and imagine. The surface --the paper --is always special, as I seek out different possibilities for your to explore and examine. Those pictured below are but a tiny sample --and I will show you more in our future meetings.

For the time being, this Large Aviary resides here. But that is bound to change very soon! Fly by later and see for yourselves.
